I'm pretty darned critical of most things that aspire to the "quirky humor" mantle (love Terry Pratchett, lukewarm on Christopher Moore, for instance), but the first installment of this book is clever, thought-provoking, and occasionally laugh-out-loud funny. It's wholly original, too, which is the hardest thing to pull off--it's not a "new" take on anything, but rather a vision of the afterlife as a sort of Tony-Robbins-esque commercial/political enterprise that's not like anything you've ever encountered.I have to second other reviewers who asked for installment two SOON! Adam Saint is truly a satirist in the best sense, and I look forward to much more from him.

I wasn't sure what to expect, but found an amusing afterlife full of funny little details about how the afterlife works, from cute little souls to memory stations to meetings with dead celebrities. This was a fun, short read, and also mixes Christianity with reincarnation in an original way that makes you think philosophically. The ending leaves you hanging a bit makes you want to read the next part.
I enjoyed this book very much. It's a humorous glimpse into what I imagine the author thinks the afterlife must be like. Parts left me laughing, and then immediately sobering up as I realized the underlying morbid subject matter. Quite frankly, if death and the afterlife were indeed like the scenario described in the book, it sound no worse than a trip to the DMV, If you have an hour or two for a quick read, I recommend it.

Not HA HA funny but there are plenty of chuckles, and some very thought provoking passages. Recomended for people that can take religion with out being terribly dogmatic about it and are able to laugh at themseleves. At least a little.
If you are fundamentalist and can't see any humor in your religion, skip this one.
